Notify Humana and check COBRA eligibility
Call Humana at 1-800-448-6262 to report the death. If this is an employer-sponsored plan, ask about COBRA continuation within 60 days. For Medicare Advantage, notify both Humana and Medicare.

Notify Medicare if applicable
If this was a Medicare Advantage plan, also contact Medicare directly at 1-800-633-4227 to report the death and stop future premium deductions from Social Security.
Process final claims
Ensure all outstanding medical claims and pharmacy claims are submitted and processed before the policy is terminated.
Cancel policy
Once all claims are resolved, formally cancel the Humana policy and request written confirmation of cancellation.
