Call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000 with a death certificate to transfer the account to a surviving household member or executor.
Continue payments during settlement
Keep payments current on the account while the estate is settled. Set up autopay from the estate account if necessary.
Close account only after property is vacated
Request account closure only after the property is sold or vacated. Obtain a final bill and confirm zero balance.
