Call USAA at 1-800-531-8722 and ask for Survivor Relations. They have a dedicated team that handles all banking, insurance, and investment accounts in one call.
File insurance claims
If the member had USAA life insurance, auto insurance, or homeowner's insurance, file all claims through the Survivor Relations team.
Review all accounts
USAA may hold checking, savings, credit cards, auto loans, and investment accounts. The estate team will walk through each one.
Document Now Checklist
- USAA member number
- All USAA accounts (banking, insurance, investments)
- Life insurance policy numbers and amounts
- Beneficiary designations
